Speech against the Spanish

The quote i picked goes like this:

" Are you not bound to love them as you love yourselves? Don't you understand this? Don't you feel this?"

To me it was powerful because it shows that some one cares about these people...and it tells the people who mistreated the natives that they should give people a chance.... and to love them as they love them selves they are humas

My life as a Taino

People on my Island are getting along they are eating healthy and we are not enslaved by anyone... we fougt for what was ours and they left us alone. People attack us once in a while but we defend ourselves and lately they havent harmed us yet. our Island is well taken care of and we are not suffering any abuses. powerful people still come to our Island and try to take over but we dont let it happen. To the right is a picture of what we look like in our Island.
